John Wayne Schulz
John Wayne Schulz, a true American Cowboy and Patriot, was born in Montana and raised deep in the heart of Texas in Karnes County between San Antonio and Corpus Christi. He began performing as a young child at local rodeos and honky tonks and inspired by his Mother’s urging, he tried out and was selected to compete on American Idol in 2010 where he made it to the Top 40. After enlisting for the U.S. Marines, he became a pilot and flight instructor and served around the world for his country. In 2016, American Idol invited him back and once again he made the Top 40. After completing his military service in 2019, he received a hero’s welcome by audiences and is once again, providing fans with his unique combination of silky pure country vocals, and authentic, earnest songwriting and performing. John shares his stories on “Beautiful Water,” “I Don’t Know Jack,” “Let’s Just Be Single,” “The Jukebox Is Broke,” and “Hard To Keep A Good Man Down.”
